About the event

MAREA is holding their “Sustainable Living Open House” on Saturday, May 5, from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Open House is a self-guided tour whereby area residents open their homes to showcase their sustainable features so that others may see and learn from their experience. Sustainable Energy Fund is aware of the barriers that often prevent local residents from going solar, and we hope that the sustainable features of participating homes will help the public realize those barriers are breakable. There are detailed descriptions and directions for all participating homes on the MAREA’s website, www.themarea.org. The event is open to the public with no RSVP and no charge.

This year’s open house includes homes with solar installations, energy efficiency upgrades, rainwater recycling, electric vehicles, and other sustainable living features. It’s an educational and fun day out with family and friends, and the perfect opportunity to see these sustainable features in action and talk to those with first-hand experience. To see the listing of homes, visit www.themarea.org. If you have any additional questions, please email [email protected] or call 484-646-3295.

Join Sustainable Energy Fund and MAREA at this event to raise awareness for sustainable energy and living. We hope to see you there.
