Program
The Sustainable Energy Fund (“SEF”), in conjunction with PPL Electric Utilities (“PPL”), is sponsoring a new rebate program aimed at small business customers located within the PPL Electric Utilities service territory.
Type of Project
Lighting retrofits. The scope of the work may only be for replacing existing inefficient lighting and not expansion, or cosmetic work. This program does not provide financing. It is a rebate program only. If needed, the business must provide for its own financing. However, if financing is needed, but cannot be obtained, please contact SEF directly for a potential financing source.
Amount
Projects of $5,000 and up.
Rebate Amounts
Only one rebate is available per business entity name
For those whose eligible project costs fall between $5,000 and $10,000, at the completion of the project, they will receive a rebate based on 20% of their project’s total cost. Although a project’s total cost could exceed $10,000, the rebate would be capped at $2,000.
NOTE: The rebate will be paid after you submit documentation to SEF that all program requirements have been met. In addition, please be advised of the possibility that an electrical energy audit may be conducted after the project is completed, at no cost to you.
Qualifications
Applicant must:
- Have 100 employees or less.
- Be the property owner or leaseholder (with a Letter of Permission from the landlord to do the project and a lease with a term at least as long as the length of the loan – if applicable).
- Have been in the same business at the premise as a customer of PPL for at least three years.
- The building where the energy efficient measures will be installed must be 25,000 square feet or less.
- Have a good PPL Electric Utilities credit history as defined by PPL.
- Must be located within the PPL service territory.
