Yes there are, but they are not run by the SEF. Most counties have programs in place to help their residents, especially the poor or the aged, to weatherize their homes to make them more energy efficient. You might also check with your utility company to see if they have such projects in place.

No. SEF does not have money available for R&D. Instead, it funds early stage commercial projects to help move those projects closer to the marketplace.

Generally, SEF invests in projects within the PPL energy service territory, but there have been exceptions, such as a wind plant in the southeastern corner of the state. SEF policies allow investments outside the PPL energy service territory when there are benefits to PPL ratepayers.
